U.S. Postal Service Wants To Increase Stamp Prices

The cost of sending a letter by snail mail may be going up.

The United States Postal Service wants to raise the price of stamps by 3 cents...up to 49 cents each.

The request must be approved by the independent Postal Regulatory Commission.

The USPS expects to lose $6 billion this year.

A request for an adjustment to bulk mail rates may come Thursday.
