UPDATED ON 6: Motorcyclist Killed In Monday Crash Identified

The person who died in a Monday motorcycle crash on Windsor Spring Road has been identified.

The victim's name has been identified as 30-year-old Jason Steven Ycaza, from Augusta.

A Georgia State Patrol spokesperson tells us Ycaza was operating a motorcycle northbound on Windsor Spring Road at a high rate of speed and actively fleeing law enforcement. The spokesperson says the pursuing officer had terminated the pursuit and the motorcycle was last seen continuing northbound on Windsor Spring Road. At Rosier Road, the motorcycle reportedly failed to stop for a red traffic signal, entered into the intersection and collided with a vehicle making a left turn. Ycaza was thrown from the motorcycle.

The Georiga State Patrol is only investigating the crash, but was not involved in the pursuit. The Richmond County Sheriff's Office was involved in the pursuit.

Richmond County Sheriff's Office deputies are on the 2400 block of Windsor Spring Road near Rosier Road, where dispatchers confirm for us that a motorcycle wreck has killed a man.
