Aiken, SC (WJBF) --The USC Aiken men's golf team has high hopes again for the 2013-14 school year despite losing a lot of talent from last year's squad. Only one player returns from last year's team, and he didn't even play in the opening event.
The five newcomers played well. They earned a second-place
finish at the Kiawah Island Invitational, which wrapped up
competition Tuesday afternoon.
The Pacers finished with a two-day total of 581, four-over par. USC Aiken took the silver, falling to North Alabama by a mere stroke for the tournament title.
USC Aiken returns to action Oct. 7-8 in Akron, Ohio when the team takes part of the Firestone Invitational.
