Funny moment: WNCN's Sanders singing doesn't impress Howard Stern

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK -

Does WNCN anchor Melanie Sanders have what it takes to win on "America's Got Talent?"

Um, no – at least in the view on judge Howard Stern.

Sanders, in New York this week to preview NBC's new shows, hit the red carpet with the "America's Got Talent" finalists and judges in advance of Wednesday night's two-hour final show. The show airs on WNCN at 9 p.m.

Stern even asked Sanders if she had a talent – like, for example, singing. And he demanded she belt out a few bars of "Row, Row, Row Your Boat."

And so she did.

And Stern was not impressed.

"You are awful!" Stern said. "You have no stage presence! You should stick to your reporting!"

Thankfully for WNCN viewers, that's just what Sanders plans to do.

And be sure to watch Sanders sing for Stern – and share that with your friends.

As for those of us at WNCN, we're always on Team Mel!
