 The identity of a man who was shot and killed in Wagener has now been released.

Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton tells WJBF News Channel 6, the woman is identified as 25-year-old Kerry Eck, of Lexington, South Carolina.

Eck's body was pronounced dead near the intersection of Camp Rawls Road and Highway 39 after being discovered in a vehicle.

Carlton says, an autopsy was completed Friday and her Eck's death is to be ruled a homicide with cause of death due to severe head trauma from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at approximately 3:30 a.m. Friday morning.

Carlton says, the shooting incident took place around 10:00 p.m. Thursday night.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation by the Aiken County Sheriff's Office and the Aiken County Coroner's Office.

Ricordo Levon Williams has been arrested in connection to Eck's death.

Carlton says, Eck leaves behind three young children.

The suspect in a murder in Wagener is now in custody.

An Aiken County Sheriff's Office spokesperson tells us, Ricordo Levon Williams is in custody and will be taken to the Aiken County Detention Center.

Authorities in Aiken County, South Carolina are looking for a suspect in a late Thursday night shooting.

The shooting happened shortly before 10:00 p.m. on Jeffcoat Road, near the town of Wagener.

The suspect is identified as 31-year-old Ricordo Levon Williams.

A witness to the incident told Aiken County Sheriff's Office deputies that the suspect shot the victim following a fight. The shooting victim was found dead in an abandoned vehicle near the intersection of Highway 39 and Camp Rawls Road.

Authorities say the possible motive stems from the sale of illegal drugs. A murder warrant is expected to be issued for Williams.
