The Jamie Kirk Hahn Foundation plans to honor and remember the up and coming political strategist who was murdered by a close friend in April.
Jamie Hahn, 29, was stabbed in her North Raleigh home in April. Her husband, Nation Hahn, was also injured in the incident.
Police have charged the couple's friend Jonathan Broyhill in Jamie's death. In search warrants, Broyhill admitted to being involved in his friend's death.
Jamie would have celebrated her 30th birthday In October. As a way to celebrate her life, the Jamie Kirk Hahn Foundation is planning a weekend long birthday celebration on Oct. 25 through 27.
On Friday, Oct. 25, a birthday party will take place at CAM Raleigh at 7 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the foundation.
In addition to the party on Friday, a day of service and a concert will take place Saturday, Oct. 26. The Jamie Kirk Hahn Foundation is partnering with the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle to give back to the community. Then at 7 p.m. at Lincoln Theatre, organizers will put on Jamie's Birthday Jam, a concert featuring Johnny Folsom 4, Alayna Royal, The Blue Dogs and The Backsliders. Doors open at 6 p.m. and tickets for the concert are $45, and you can purchase them here.
A Brunch will then take place at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27 at Poole's Diner in Raleigh.
