GREENVILLE, N.C. -

East Carolina University Police are searching for more suspects in a tailgate fight that left a fan seriously injured Saturday.

Police arrested and charged 21-year-old Blade Perdue with assault inflicting serious injury and simple assault in connection with a fight that occurred before ECU's game against Old Dominion.

The fight took place during a tailgate party in the Student Pirate Club parking lot at the bottom of College Hill Drive.

There's no word from university officials on what prompted the incident.

Police released video of the fight as well as several photos in hopes of locating a second suspect involved in the fight that seriously injured 23-year-old Gregory Taylor Shouse. Police said the suspect seen in the video has a tattoo on his left arm.

During a news conference Thursday, ECU's student body president Timothy Schwan said violence will not be tolerated.

"We want to join together and state clearly that violent behavior is not acceptable and not consistent with our shared Pirate values, and will not be tolerated on our campus or at our events," Schwan said.

Lt. Chris Sutton, with ECU Police, said the last fight of this magnitude was 13 years ago when ECU played Virginia Tech.

"So we have played 76-78 games here at Dowdy Ficklin Stadium and have had tailgates leading up to each one of those games that we have not had an issue like this," Sutton said.

ECU Police said it will crack down on underage drinking and will also enforce the university's no liquor policy.

After last week's fight, the university is also making changes to the way people park. The university will have a scissor lift and lights in certain parking lots so officers can monitor those areas during and after the game.

The university registrar's office said Perdue is not a current or former ECU student.
