It's time to lace up those dancing shoes as a new cast will be hitting the dance floor of the Dancing With The Stars stage. Season 17 will be jammed packed with 12 new celebrities ready to take the silver ball.
Actresses Valerie Harper, Leah Remini, and Elizabeth Berkley are apart of the cast. Former Jersey Shore reality star Snooki, former Disney star Corbin Bleu, and singer Christina Milian will also lace up their shoes this season.
Other contestants include former NFL star Keyshawn Johnson, Glee Star Amber Riley, Jack Osburne, Bill Engvall, Brant Daugherty, and Bill Nye the Science Guy. The new season starts Monday, September 16th at 8 PM on WJBF News Channel 6.
Miley Cyrus has kept quiet about her controversial MTV performance, but now she is speaking out. In an interview, she says she set out to "make history" when she TWERKED to Robin Thicke's song "Blurred Lines." Cyrus' performance sparked debate and broke Beyonce's superbowl mark for the most tweets per minute.
It was another big win for "The Butler" as they have come in at number one on Labor Day weekend. This is the third weekend in a row that the film has won the box office race. "The Butler" earned an estimated $20 million. The One Direction documentary came in at second with $18 million, and "We're The Millers" rounded out the top 3 with just under $16 million.
It will be a star-studded weekend here in the Garden City as R&B star Keith Sweat will be at the Bell Auditorium Saturday, September 14th at 7:30 PM. R&B group Silk will also be performing.
On Sunday, September 15th, rapper J. Cole will be at the Bell Auditorium at 730 PM. Wale will be performing as well. Tickets for both concerts are on sale.
