An Orangeburg man says he's still in a lot of pain almost two weeks after he was struck by lightning. But he also says the Lord just wasn't ready to meet him.
The Times and Democrat of Orangeburg reports that 62-year-old Teddie Adams was struck while walking to his truck after work on Aug. 20. He likened the pain to an elephant sitting on his chest.
When a doctor at the hospital asked him to describe his pain on a scale of one to 10, he said 150. He says even now it feels like an eight or nine.
Adams credits his survival to holding the rubber end of the keys and having rubber-soled shoes.
