Suspects Wanted In North Carolina Captured In Washington County

Thursday, deputies with the Washington County Sheriff's Office captured two people who were wanted in Moore County, North Carolina.
Deputies were notified that 25-year-old Tyler Joel Whitaker and 19-year-old Jessica Lynne Hinesley, both from North Carolina, were possibly armed and dangerous. Whitaker was wanted on 16 felony warrants, including breaking and entering, obstruction of justice, theft by taking, and probation violation. Hinesley is wanted for a felony probation violation.
Washington County Sheriff Thomas H. Smith says deputies located and apprehended Whitaker and Hinesley, as well as finding that they had a firearm at the residence where they were.
Whitaker and Hinesley are being held in the Washington County Jail. Charges are pending in Washington County and the Sheriff of Moore County, North Carolina has been notified of their capture.
Sheriff Smith commended his deputies for the outstanding job in apprehending these fugitives and getting them off the streets so that the people of Washington County can be safe.
