A rare illness is showing up in Florida possibly because of mosquitoes.

According to the state department of health, 3 adults have been confirmed to have the mosquito-born illness, dengue fever. Health officials say the appearance of dengue was anything but expected.

Doctors say the illness, also known as "breakbone fever", can be very painful. The most common symptoms include high fever, severe headache, joint, and bone pain and rash.
