Man Facing Multiple Charges After Son Was Killed After Falling Out Of Vehicle

A Richmond County man is facing several charges after Richmond County Sheriff's Office investigators say his son was killed after he fell out of the vehicle the father was driving.

Investigators say, on Wednesday, at approximately 1:44 p.m., deputies responded to the 1900 block of Hephzibah-McBean Road in regards to a single vehicle accident.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they leaarned the vehicle's passenger, 22-year-old John Edward Barron, Jr., of 2017 McNutt Way, had fallen from inside of a 1994 Dodge Dakota, which was being driven by John Edward Barron, Sr.

The younger Barron was was transported to the Georgia Regents Medeical Center Emergency Room for medical treatment, hwere he was pronounced dead.

John Barron, Sr. was charged with the following:

Driving an unsafe vehicle
Open container
Vehicle Homicide in the 1st Degree
