Augusta, GA -

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office has recently reopened an old Missing Persons case of two paternal twins, Dannette and Jeannette Millbrooks and is asking for the public's assistance in providing information that could help locate the girls.

Investigators say, on March 18, 1990, 16-year-old twins Dannette and Jeannette Millbrooks left their residence on Cooney Circle on foot, en route to visit with a family friend who lived in the area of 12th Street and MLK Boulevard. The girls' mother, Mary Sturgis, and younger sister, Shanta Sturgis, were able to verify that Dannette and Jeannette Millbrooks made it to their friend's residence and left there at approximately 4:00 p.m. and were last seen near the intersection of 12th Street and MLK Boulevard at approximately 4:30 p.m. The two girls have not been seen or heard from since.

At the time of their disappearance, Dannette Millbrooks was approximately 5'6" tall and 130 pounds, and Jeannette Millbrooks was approximately 5'4" tall and 125 pounds. Both girls attended Lucy C. Laney High School and were in 9th grade at the time they went missing.

Attached to this article are photos of both Dannette and Jeannette Millbrooks which were taken sometime between 1988 and 1989, when they were 14- to 15--years-old and also the age-progressed photos, which were constructed by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which show how the girls may look today.

Dannette and Jeannette Millbrooks would be 39-years-old as of April 2013.

Anyone with any information pertaining to Dannette and Jeannette Millbrooks is asked to contact The Richmond County Sheriff's Office at 706-821-1080 or any Violent Crimes Investigator at 706-821-1020.
