UPDATED ON 6: Victim's Name Released In Deadly Aiken County Fire

WJBF News Channel 6 has now learned the name of the victim in a deadly house fire that happened on Dogwood Drive in North Augusta.  According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, 56-year-old Paul Callan was the man killed in the mobile home fire which happened the morning of Tuesday, August 13th. An autopsy revealed that Callan died from smoke inhalation and thermal injuries. John Machin shared the home with Callan, he is remains in critical condition at Doctors Hospital.

We are still awaiting more information on a deadly Clearwater mobile home fire. 

The Aiken County Coroner's Office tells us they have made a preliminary identification on the man who died in the fire, but have not released the name, pending notification of family.

There was another person injured in the fire, and that person is being treated at the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital in Augusta.

We are told, when firefighters arrived, the mobile home was fully engulfed in flames. We're told by neighbors that the man being treated at the hospital ran out of the home, his hair was on fire, and he was saying he woke up to the smoke and fire.

Officials say firefighters from the Langley Fire Department, Beech Island Fire Department, and the Midland Valley Fire Department worked to fight the fire.

WJBF News Channel 6 has learned from a deputy on the scene of a mobile home fire located at 5038 Dogwood Drive that 1 man has died in the fire. We are told another person was injured and was transported to the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital for treatment.

There is no indication of the cause of the fire at this time, but the fire is under investigation.

The identities of the victims has not been released, at this time.

Aiken County firefighters are at the scene of a trailer fire.

They got the call shortly after 7:30 Tuesday morning on the 5000 block of Dogwood Drive.

Authorities do not yet know if the trailer is occupied.
