The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is currently searching for a suspect in a Saturday night shooting in downtown Augusta.

Jamel Olajuwon Boyd, 17, whose last known address is 708 East Bulla Street in Augusta, is wanted on one felony arrest warrant for Aggravated Assault and one felony warrant for Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime.

Saturday night, around 8:45 p.m., deputies answered a call to Walker Street and Sibley Street in regards to an injured person. Upon their arrival, it was learned that the victim, 39-year-old Julion Tyrone Hamilton, of the 100 Block of East Chapman Street, had sustained gunshot wounds to the leg and the stomach.

Richmond County investigators are looking for a person of interest in a shooting that happened Saturday night.

Deputies were called to the scene near the intersection of Walker and Sibley Streets in Augusta around 8:45.

One person was shot, according to dispatchers. There is no word on that person's condition.

Investigators say 17 year old James Oljuwon Boyd of East Bullah Street is a person of interest in the case.  If you know where he is, please call the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.
