The nearly year-long search for a missing 16-year-old South Carolina girl is over.
Investigators say they found the body of Gabbiee Swainson after the man accused of killing her led them to where he she was buried.
Sheriff Leon Lott of Richland County had this to say, "This has been 357 days of terror that Gabbiee's mother and family have endured. That this community has endured. It's not the way we'd have liked this to have ended."
Gabbiee disappeared from her home back in August of last year.
Prosecutors say they plan to add a murder charge to the kidnapping charge Freddie grant is already facing in the case.
But as part of the deal for his cooperation they have taken the death penalty off the table.
