Augusta commissioners can't get in time for their meetings.
Last month commissioners voted to switch their meetings from five o'clock to two o'clock, but they did not vote to change the ordinance setting the times.
But the motion to amend the ordinance failed leaving commissioners still working the late shift.
Supporters say two o'clock meetings would be more efficient.
"It would allow business people to come during business hours attorney that are representing clients down here it would help with that but there's a segment of our commisison that choose to vote against that," says Commissioner Donnie Smith.
Smith says commissioners will vote next week to amend the ordinance changing the times.
The ordinance will require two readings to be approved.
