Autistic Man Meets Beach Boys

Posted: Updated:

An autistic man from Michigan got the concert and meet & greet of a lifetime- with the Beach Boys!

22-year old Brett Warner is non-verbal; the only words he can say are 'Beach Boys.'

Brett's father says the harmonies and sunny lyrics help calm his son.

A radio station arranged on Friday to have the father and son meet the band. They also got two front row seats to the concert.

It was a milestone for Brett's dad, Mark Werner.

"As a dad sometimes you say okay? can't wait until my kids graduate high school. I can't wait till they graduate college, get married. For me, this is like a college graduation. Just to show the Beach Boys how much he loves them."

Beach Boy Mike Love was flattered.

"I guess it's kinda the ultimate compliment for us and our music, it's a tribute to our music."
As was Bruce Johnston: "He's got a real soul. I like that."

Brett's dad says the Beach Boys have given them a memory they will take with them for the rest of their lives, and they plan on attending many more concerts.
