Augusta, GA (WJBF) -- Eric Zeier, one of the all-time great quarterbacks in Georgia Bulldogs history, was in Augusta Monday night firing up fans at the Augusta Bulldog Club kickoff event.
Zeier played quarterback for the Bulldogs from 1991-1994 and still holds many passing records including most passing yards in a season and a game. He now works as a color analyst on the Bulldogs Radio Network.
Zeier says the high expectations are warranted for the current Bulldogs. He thinks since the schedule is so tough early (at Clemson, vs South Carolina, & vs LSU in 3 of the first 4 games) Georgia can overcome an early loss and still play for the SEC Championship and possibly the national championship. He also said he expects senior quarterback Aaron Murray to break most of the records he still holds.
