Kroger's Atlanta Division is showing support for Augusta-area teachers by giving away classroom supplies valued at more than $24,000 as part of the grocer's 2013-2014 "Earning Plus Learning" program.
Through this event, educators with a valid Georgia teacher ID can receive up to $40 in free school supplies.
Classroom supplies include, but are not limited to:
Teachers will receive items on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
"Kroger is committed to ensuring that our teachers have the tools they need to successfully educate our children," says Glynn Jenkins, director of communications and public relations for Kroger's Atlanta Division. "We hope that through this event we can help assist teachers as they prepare for the upcoming school year."

The event will be held Wednesday, July 31st from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Westside Comprehensive High School, located at 1002 Patriots Way, in Augusta.
