AUGUSTA, GA - Augusta's Vaughn Taylor is trying to get back to his winning ways on the PGA Tour, but this week he's taking a break from that journey to come home for the junior tournament with his name on it.
Taylor was a Jones Creek Golf Club on Thursday morning previewing next week's "Vaughn Taylor EZ-Go AJGA Championship".
Fresh off his 5th top 25 finish of the season, Taylor says his game isn't where it was a few years ago but he's hoping to get back to that level using an interesting strategy.
"I actually have a big box of VCR tapes at my parent's place of my old tournaments and I just kind of went through them," Taylor said. "I just wanted to kind of see what they were feeling like at the time - and I've come up with a plan to get my swing, stroke and chipping back to where it used to be."
Taylor's next tournament is the Reno-Tahoe Open, which is the site of his only two previous PGA Tour wins.
