This week an Augusta man will go to great lengths to show his love for his family, and save a relative's life.
Dr. Andrew Forgay is donating one of his kidneys to his mother in law, Diane Latone.
The procedure is being done at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital on Friday. The hospital says it has never seen a mother-in-law, son-in-law match, and that the odds that Dr. Forgay would be a match for Latone are 1 in 400,000.
Forgay says he knew his wife's mom would be on a waiting list for a new kidney for 4-5 years, and he says he feels blessed to be able to give her this gift. She calls him, her hero.
