WJBF News Channel 6 has learned a woman injured in a crash involving a woman driving the wrong way on Riverwatch Parkway on December 10, 2012 has now died.
Amelia Hiltz, 32, of North Augusta, died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning at Georgia Regents Medical Center, according to Richmond County Coroner Grover Tuten. She was critically injured on Monday, December 10, 2012. She was in one of the 3 cars hit by the accused wrong-way driver, 31-year-old Monique Sullivan.
Sullivan was indicted in May of 2013 and is facing eight felony counts including five counts of aggravated assault, and 3 misdemeanors in the case. She has entered a not quilty plea to all charges. Sullivan entered a plea of not guilty.
There is no word on whether Sullivan's charges will be upgraded to vehicular homicide.
According to Richmond County Sheriff's Office deputies, Sullivan's actions caused 6 people to be sent to the hospital with injuries differing in severity.
