DEVELOPING ON 6: Arrest Made In Connection To Deadly Richmond County Shooting

Richmond County Sheriff's Office investigators tell WJBF News Channel 6 they have captured a suspect in a deadly shooting that occurred overnight in Richmond County.

Investigators say 17-year-old Dijon Cortez Abbott, of the 4200 block of James Drive in Augusta, has been arrested and charged in connection with the murder of Marquez Eubanks and the shootings of Jeremy Whitehead and Latrice Nelson.

Investigators say Abbott is presently receiving medical treatment for injuries sustained prior to his arrest and will later be booked into the Richmond County Jail for Murder, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime and 2 counts of Aggravated Assault.
