A waitress is now $500 richer thanks to a big tipper.
Bret Buganski introduces us to this lucky waitress and tells us why the big tipper is handing over so much money.
"It wasn't that busy at all, so I wasn't really doing very well."
Just as Marleigh Fiedler was thinking it would be a slow afternoon at Balistreri's.. "I like to come in when it's a little quieter" ... she was about to land her biggest tip ever!
"I had no idea. I was so caught off guard."
"I can get to know the waitress or the waiter."
Meet Seth Collins from Lexington, Kentucky, who travels the country and eats at local restaurants... no chains or high-end places.
"That money didn't just come from Kentucky, it didn't just come from my city. It came from all over the world."
And surprises the waiter or waitress with a $500 tip.
"Losing a brother at a young age is really hard, and this has been a huge part of my grieving process and my healing process."
It was Aaron's last wish.
"Aaron was always generous."
In Aaron Collins' will, he requested his family go out to dinner and leave a $500 tip for the staff. Seth raised money online, well over $500.
"Over 60,000 dollars."
It inspired Seth to do something bigger than he originally intended.
"Because of that, I've been doing it at least once a week ever since then."
He's keeping his brother's promise, but now he's hitting all 50 states, leaving a big tip to an unexpecting service-industry member."
"I was speechless. I was really taken back, and I was really just appreciative."
"I get to do this for hundreds of waiters and waitresses, and impact thousands or millions of lives."
"Hopefully I can do something like this someday."
