There may not be any elves in here, but there is magic in the mix at 2 Moms Cookies. There is something extra special about the sweet treats being cooked up in this kitchen and today it is my job to join the cookie crew.
Becky McKnight, a baker at the business says, "I've always made them for my family and for my kids and for Christmas presents at Christmas, and it just doesn't get old."
Our efforts really take shape as we plop the batter on the baking tray.
Now, time to move from cookie maker to cookie artist. Where a little icing and a lot of creativity make masterpieces. That makes Maggie Douglas, the Picasso of piping.
Maggie makes it look easy. But it takes effort to make an elephant ear.
So I can count about 2 cookies to my credit while the 2 Moms Cookie team has countless creations for you to enjoy.
" I love seeing the brides come in," Douglas says, " And then you get the baby showers, the friends that come in and want to do baby showers for their friends, and then the ladies night out, those kinds of cookies are fun to do, there's so many occasions for cookies, so it's always fun to be part of those celebrations with people."
Impressive. And incredibly delicious.
"And that's the whole goal for it, is to be part of the community, and to make other people pleased with what they get, that's our goal."
