LITCHFIELD BEACH, SC - Georgetown County emergency personal responded to a possible shark bite Monday afternoon at Litchfield Beach.
According to our news partners at the Georgetown Times, one man was taken to Waccamaw Community Hospital to be treated for a bite he received while in the ocean off of Norris Drive in Litchfield around 11:45 a.m.
Midway Fire Rescue Chief Doug Eggiman said the man was injured on his foot but could not confirm if indeed the bite was from a shark, the paper reported.
Eggiman said "it could have been a number of things."
