Durham police look for man who robbed clothing store

DURHAM, N.C. -

Durham police investigators are trying to identify a man suspected of robbing the It's Fashion Metro store at 2000 Chapel Hill Road on June 28.

A male entered the store shortly before 7 p.m. and asked an employee to help him pick out an outfit. When he got to the checkout counter, he handed the employee a note demanding money and told her he had a gun.

He was described as a black male, 30 to 40 years old with well-trimmed facial hair. He was wearing a red, white and blue shirt, dark blue jeans and an earring in his left ear.

Anyone with information is asked to call Investigator D.C. Smith at (919) 560-4583, ext. 29366 or CrimeStoppers at (919) 683-1200. CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
