A pastry chef in New York City can't make enough of his new invention -- Cronuts.
They're a cross between a croissant and a doughnut.
The fried pastry is filled with cream.
The chef says that he was out to start a trend, but had no idea people would end up standing line for hours to buy a cronut.
Nearly 300 cronuts are made each day.
Customers are only limited to two each... So demand is overwhelming the supply.
They're sold for $5 in the bakerty... And about $40 or more on the cronut black market.
The name of the treat is trademarked.
