Clinton police are investigating the death of a 19-year-old woman who the coroner says was strangled.
Laurens County Coroner Nick Nichols says Emily-Anna Asbill's death was a homicide.
Clinton Police Chief Robin Morse says officers were called to a home late Saturday night and found Asbill. She died a short time later at the Laurens County Hospital.
Deputies say six people have been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor because they gave the teen alcohol and drugs at a party the night she died.
The State Law Enforcement Division and sheriff's deputies are assisting in the investigation.
Police have not identified a suspect in the teen's killing.
