Officials at Fort Gordon have confirmed that the victim of an alleged murder/suicide, 37-year-old Angela Lee, was a Fort Gordon soldier.
"Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family," said Buz Yarnell, with the Fort Gordon Public Affairs Office.
The alleged murder/suicide happened early Sunday morning. Richmond County investigators responded to the 3500 block of Crawfordville Drive around 1:30 a.m.
Police say 34-year-old Timothy Lee and Angela Lee got into a fight after which shots rang out. Police say the Timothy shot Angela and then turned the gun on himself.
Autopsies are scheduled for Tuesday.

"The following information is provided regarding the Fort Gordon Soldier killed in a domestic shooting incident early Sunday morning.
Captain Angela R. Lee was a U.S. Army Reserve signal officer assigned on active duty to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 15th Regimental Signal Brigade, as an operations officer for satellite communications supporting training in the U.S. Army Signal Center of Excellence. Her home of record was Georgia, and she was 37 years old.
On behalf of the entire Fort Gordon military community, we extend our deepest sympathy to the family, friends and loved ones of Captain Lee. We are prepared to assist her family in any way possible as they cope with this tragedy.
