Augusta, GA -

Local authorities say an Augusta man has been exposing himself to women across the CSRA. Chad Stefani of Augusta was arrested and charged with public indecency on Monday. He was released from the Richmond County Jail on bond. After his arrest, Columbia and Edgefield county authorities also issued arrest warrants.

Columbia County investigators say that Stefani is a suspect in at least two public indecency cases. We spoke with one of the victims. She did not want us to show her face for safety concerns, but she is telling her story to warn others about the man who exposed himself to her.

"I was disgusted," says Jessica.

She says Chad Stefani exposed himself to her on May 1st. She says it happened as she was driving westbound on I-20. She says he was driving a dark blue Dodge Ram when he pulled up beside her vehicle.

"And he's got, you know, his genitalia completely out and exposed. And he is raised up in his seat to where there, you know, it's obvious what he is doing, and you know, you can see everything that is going on," says Jessica.

She says she ignored him and sped off to get away. Jessica says Stefani followed her and then pulled up alongside her again.

"With just this weird blank look on his face. Like it wasn't even a pleasuring type look. It was just like a... not a smile or anything. Just kind of a weird stare," says Jessica.

Jessica says she slammed on her brakes and pulled behind his vehicle. At that point, she says she called 9-1-1 and gave the operator his tag number.

"You know my back windows are tinted, so my children could have been in the car. They could have easily seen everything that he was doing," says Jessica.

Eventually, Jessica says she exited off the highway and got away from Stefani. She says the next day, Columbia County authorities identified the suspect as Stefani. Jessica says at first, she didn't want to prosecute him. But she says when she learned Stefani may have exposed himself to other women in the CSRA, she knew she had to press charges.

"He has got some type of underlying issues that would cause him to want to do this and it's developing into, you know, a sexual predator. It could turn into anything if he is going to do this in broad day light in public to people, there's no telling what he will do," says Jessica.

According to an article in The Edgefield Advertiser, a man driving a blue Dodge pickup truck exposed himself to a woman at a gas station back in April.
