Help is on the way to smooth out the bumpy ride in South Carolina.
Governor Nikki Haley signed a bill into law on Monday that will pump millions into South Carolina's Department of transportation. That means more than 500 million dollars to improve the state's roads.
Critics say it's just a drop in the bucket, though. They say the state needs about 3 times that amount to get the roads where they need to be.
So what about raising the state's gasoline tax to bring in more cash? Haley says she'd veto any attempt to do that.
