Thousands of young people and adults around the world came together Tuesday to try to set a new Guinness World Record.
Among the sites around here people at the Canal Street Recreation Center in Myrtle Beach participated in the global record attempt for the world's largest swimming lesson.
The clock started at 11 in the morning in Myrtle Beach. About 20 people participated. This attempt was also an opportunity for people to learn more water safety tips.
"Water safety is a big deal especially during the summer so it's great to give everyone a free opportunity to come in and learn some techniques," said Ryan Caputo, the aquatics leader.
Those at the recreation center said they'll find out the results in around a week.
