We have breaking news out of Augusta this Saturday.
The Richmond County bomb squad is on the scene at 15th Street and Fenwick Street, near the Rite Aid.
Investigators respdoned to scene around 9:20 a.m. Saturday after someone spotted a suspicious package at the back of the Rite Aid.
Sheriff Richard Roundtree was also on the scene.
A store employee at the Tire Plus says crews are cleared the scene around 12:30 p.m.
The employee says the suspicious package was a gas can with bullets in it.
Rite Aid, Tires Plus and Pizza Hut employees were evacuated for about 3 hours.
Investigators believe someone dropped off ammunition but there was no damage or injuries.
They don't believe there was any criminal intent.
