The number of people who call South Carolina home has increased.
The Palmetto State's population grew more than 2 percent between 2010 and 2012.
New numbers from the U.S. Census Bureau show the fastest growing areas are along the state's coast.
The state's population is now 4.7 million. That means about 100,000 more people in the last two years.
