McCrory starts the message by referencing photos of him playing catch in front of the state Capitol earlier in the week.

A liberal advocacy group said McCrory was "playing catch with his chief of staff" when children attempted to deliver 16,000 signed petitions to his office Monday ahead of Moral Monday demonstrations.

McCrory's office contests the governor was in a meeting with an elected representative at the time the petitions were delivered.
