Media mogul Oprah Winfrey has donated $12 million to the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American history and culture. This follows her $1 million donation in 2007. Oprah says she is proud of African American history and its contributions to our nation as a whole. In honor of her gift, the museum's theater will be named after her.
With this sizzling hot weather we're experiencing today, the ABC giant is giving us some even hotter programming this summer. "Mistresses" is about four women who are in different walks of life, and they come together as they venture a little bit on the wild side. According to TV By The Numbers, 4.4 million viewers tuned in to watch the premiere. You can catch "Mistresses" Mondays at 10 PM on WJBF News Channel 6.
Auditions for "Unbroken" the Musical is happening for the remainder of the week. It will take place at the Doris Building on Broad Street in Downtown Augusta. The auditions are from 4 to 8 PM.
