WJBF News Channel 6 has learned a suspect in a Monday night shooting on 3rd Avenue has been arrested.

Herman Lapatrick Brown, 23, was arrested and booked on Wednesday. He is charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Knife of Firearm During the Commission of a Crime.

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is on the hunt for a suspect in connection to a shooting at 2102 3rd Avenue that happened Monday night around 10:26 p.m.

Deputies responded to the incident location to find one person suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim was identified as 25-year-old Marion Antron Henley, of the 2500 block of Shannon Court, in Hephzibah. He was transported to Georgia Regents Medical Center and is listed in serious but stable condition.

According to investigators, they learned that Henley has been having an ongoing feud with the suspect, 23-year-old Herman Lapatrick Brown, of 2105 Oak Leaf Drive in Augusta, who shot the victim once in the chest.

Investigators say Brown will be charged with 1 count of Aggravated Assault and 1 count of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime.
