New details this morning after a late night accident out of Edgefield County.
According to the Edgefield Daily, Johnston police tried stop 2 two motorcycles when they took off and entered Highway 121 towards Trenton.
Police broke off the chase after they reached more than 100 miles per hour.
A short while later -- an 18-wheeler collided into one of the motorcycles near Reynolds Drive around 10 p.m.
When officers arrived on the scene, the driver of the motorcycle was nowhere to be found.
Deputies directed traffic around the scene as Trenton firefighters used thermal imaging to scan the area for the driver without any luck.
According to available information, the driver of the crashed motorcycle may have jumped on the second motorcycle with its driver and fled the scene.
The second suspected motorcycle and driver was located on Highway 23 just across from JET Middle School. The driver was identified as the brother of the owner of the crashed motorcycle on Highway 121.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the wreck.
Dispatch say no one was injured in the accident.

We are following some breaking news out of Edgefield County Saturday night.
Investigators are on the scene of an accident on Highway 121 between Johnston and Trenton.
It may involve 2 motorcycles and an 18-wheeler.
The accident happened about an hour back around 10:15 this evening.
No word on the victim's conditions or what caused the accident.
