Woman Arrested For Allegedly Stabbing Her Husband In Argument Over Remote Control

An Aiken woman has been arrested after stabbing her husband during an argument over a remote control Tuesday night.

Cynthia Pruitt Siau, 60, of the 400 block of Palm Circle in Aiken, is accused of stabbing her husband, 60-year-old Louis Harrell Siau, of the same address.

According to the police report, Aiken Department of Public Safety officers responded aroun 10:00 p.m. Tuesday night to an incident where a man was stabbed by a female. Officers arrived and noticed Mr. Siau standing outside the residence covered in blood.

Officers assisted Mr. Siau until emergency medical workers arrived, and it was determined he has been stabbed twice: on the top of the head and in the middle of his back.

Mr. Siau told officers he hads been stabbed by his wife with a kitchen knife. He said he and his wife had been drinking beer and wine during the evening and got into an argument about the remote control. Officers noted the man was slurring his speech, and he told officers he and his wife had only been married for 2 months.

Officers went to the back of the residence to attempt to enter and take the wife into custody. While at the rear of the home, officers saw that the rear door was open. They were about to enter, when they noticed Mrs. Siau go into the kitchen from another room. They then entered and took the woman into custody. While trying to arrest her, Mrs. Siau reportedly defecated on two of the officers. Officers also noted she was highly intoxicated at the time and was not responsive to commands from the officers.

Mrs. Siau is charged with Attempted Murder.
