Overcoming The Stereotype: Media and Fashion's Impact on Eating Disorders

It's hard to turn on the TV or open a magazine without seeing images of what the "perfect body" looks like. From a Oklahoma City cheerleader being bashed for being too "chunky" to a popular fashion retailer refusing to cater to larger clientele, many people are getting the message that their body just isn't good enough. For some that can lead to eating disorders. Dr. Christian Lemmon from Georgia Regents University specializes in eating disorders. He shares what he sees in the impact media plays on his patients as well as other factors that are involved. Dr. Lemmon also shares how treatment is so close at hand.
