The Salvation Army is holding its June auto auction this coming Saturday, June 1st, at 1348 Greene Street in downtown Augusta. Auction day registration begins at 8am and the auction starts at 10am.
The auction will consist of more than 40 cars, trucks, boats, RV's, ATV's. The Feature Car for this auction is an 8-cylinder, 4-door sedan. It is a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria in great condition.
Customers are encouraged to visit the auction yard during the three Preview Days, during which time they can view the inventory, look under the hood, and start the vehicles. Preview Days for the June 2 auction are May 29, 30 and 31 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is a $5 fee to register for the auction. The auctioneer will be Gene Cockerham (#998).

The Salvation Army Auto Auction is one of the organization's largest fundraisers of the year. Proceeds from the auction directly support social services for those in need in the Greater Augusta Area. Programs such as the free Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation program, emergency shelter, Soup Line, and Job Skills Training will benefit from the money raised.
If you would like to donate a vehicle for the June auction, donations may be dropped off at The Center of Hope through May 29. Auto donations are accepted year-round and free pick-up is available after June 1.
