Throw Back Thursday on News Channel 8 - Gayle Guyardo

Posted: Updated:

It's Throw Back Thursday on News Channel 8 Today – where we bring a popular trend on social media to our airwaves by featuring old footage and pictures of our WFLA family.

Today it's Gayle Guyardo's turn to share.

She's a Tampa native who spent a lot of time on her grandfather's dairy farm in Brandon. She went one state north to Auburn, Alabama for college.

It wasn't long before Gayle Guyardo was running with the big dogs at a TV station in Sarasota. Then, full circle back to Tampa and on the anchor desk helping to start our mornings for 20 years.

Her family has grown in that time too. Hard to believe, her oldest daughter is now in high school.

As polished as you see her each morning, she has very funny off camera moments that endear her to us. Enjoy some of them in the video or click through the slideshow to see her pictures.
