UPDATED ON 6: South Augusta Home Damaged By Fire

WJBF News Channel 6 has learned more information on a house fire in south Augusta.

An Augusta Fire Department official tells us, the fire was caused by an unattended iron.

The house was owned by the Augusta Housing Authority. It is currently unlivable due to the fire. The man who was living there will be displaced.

WJBF News Channel 6 has learned a south Augusta home was damaged by fire Wednesday.

The home is on the 2300 block of Dublin Drive.

The call about the fire came into the Richmond County Dispatch Center around 11:00 a.m.
