WESLEY CHAPEL, FL (WFLA) -

According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, Tuesday around 10:00 a.m. a Mack dump truck traveling southbound on I-75 just south of State Road 56 in Wesley Chapel traveled into the direct path of a 2012 Hyundai.

According to officials, the Hyundai was driven by 61-year-old John Conrad Porter, his wife Mary Ann Porter and their 3-year-old granddaughter.  Officials say the Hyundai hit the rear of the dump truck, driven by Cristobal L. Cepero, causing the car to come to a stop on the inside shoulder of the interstate.

The Porter's along with their granddaughter were airlifted to St. Joseph's Hospital for medical care.  The driver of the dump truck was not injured.  Portions of the southbound lanes of I-75 were closed for two hours as a result of the crash; all lanes were re-opened as of 12:45 PM.

Hospital officials report that John Porter died at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday from injuries sustained in the crash.  Mary Porter is listed in critical condition.  The Porter's granddaughter is in serious condition.  An investigation into this crash continues and charges are pending.

With a toss of a football, Charlie Crist boarded the bus in Orlando. “On to victory,” Crist announced, as he headed to his seat. It's a campaign tour that might have seemed improbable just a few years ago. But the former governor is on the campaign trail again, trying to win over voters to win back his old job in Tallahassee.

James Woolever was shocked to find a bad mark on his credit report. Especially since it was for an "outstanding balance" from a Verizon account opened in 1979. He knew that couldn't be right, because he was just 6 years old then.
