Posted: Updated:

An 18-year-old woman charged with lewd and lascivious battery of a child 12 to 16 years old has to decide whether or not to take the plea deal on the charge.

Kaitlyn Hunt faces charges for a relationship she had with her 14-year-old schoolmate. Hunt's mother said the relationship was consensual.

The parents of the 14-year-old alerted police of the relationship. Police arrested Hunt in February. The school expelled her.

Hunt has till the end of this week to decide on the plea deal. An online campaign is gaining momentum to get the charges against her dropped.
