WINTER HAVEN, FL (WFLA) -

Police identified the man who robbed an off-duty Polk County Sheriff's deputy, and issued a warrant for his arrest. They consider him armed and dangerous.

Winter Haven police officers said, Damarius Antwun Matthews, 22, snatched Deputy Regina Hulverson's purse which contained her badge and a gun at the Publix on Cypress Gardens Boulevard in Winter Haven Sunday.

Matthews left in a 2013 silver Mazda. Police found the car Monday and impounded it. It was a rental.

The warrant for Matthwes' arrests lists robbery, grand theft of firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and petit theft as the charges.

Anyone with information about Matthews is asked to call Heartland Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226-TIPS (8477). Callers can remain anonymous and might qualify for a cash reward.

Melanie and Jeffrey Cornwell should have been getting a tax break for years on part of the homestead property in Dunedin they call their "little piece of Heaven." But due to a mistake at the Pinellas Property Appraiser's Office, they won't see any rebates for previous taxes, just a break on future tax bills.
