SEFFNER, FL -

A shooting in a Seffner subdivision leaves a man dead and a woman in custody, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

HCSO deputies responded to a call at 130 Winston Manor Circle in Seffner about shots fired early Monday morning.

Deputies say the shooting appears domestic in nature.  The victim is Irvin Washington, 33. Deputies found him dead on the driveway when they arrived around 5:30 a.m.

Five children ages 5 to 20 were also in the house at the time of the shooting, according to HCSO Col. Donna Lusczynski.  The investigation is ongoing.  Deputies are interviewing neighbors and witnesses.

A man who lives across the street tells News Channel 8 his wife was outside when the shooting happened. She crawled inside their home to take cover. The neighbor said Washington's wife shot him in the driveway as soon as he got home from his morning paper route.
