AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Augusta State freshman Maverick Antcliff registered his fifth top-20 finish of the season Saturday in the third and final round of the NCAA Tallahassee Regional at Golden Eagle Golf & Country Club in Tallahassee, Fla.

Antcliff managed a pair of birdies on the day and he played his final 10 holes in 1-under par. His birdie on the par-3 third hole got him back to even par for his round as he finished tied for 19th at 4-under 212 (69-71-72). Junior Alex Wennstam netted three birdies of his own, signing for a 2-over 74 to notch a tie for 49th at 5-over 221 (71-76-74).

The ASU duo earned at-large individual bids from the NCAA on Monday, May 6 when the field of 81 teams and 45 individuals were selected for the six regional sites. Full-field results of the NCAA Tallahassee Regional are available at www.golfstatresults.com/public/leaderboards/team/static/team4402.html.

North Florida, ranked 19th in the nation according to Golfstat, completed its wire-to-wire victory and carded the low round of the day with a 7-over 281. The Ospreys bested No. 6 Washington by three shots, while regional host Florida State and Georgia Tech took third and fourth, respectively. Oklahoma and South Florida tied for the fifth and final qualifying spot for the NCAA Championships. The Sooners earned the nod by edging USF in a tiebreaker on the 18th hole. OU's combined score on the hole was 17, compared to USF's 20.

Washington's Cheng-Tsung Pan fired his third consecutive, 5-under 67 to secure a three-stroke victory at 15-under 201. UNF's MJ Maguire and Florida State's Chase Seiffert tied for second along with individual Daniel Walker of Richmond.

The top five teams and top individual not on an advancing team from each regional advanced to the NCAA Championships, which are slated for May 28-June 2 at the Capital City Club's Crabapple Course in Atlanta, Ga.

A junior from Gothenburg, Sweden, Wennstam played in 11 regular-season events for the Jaguars. He ranked second on the squad in stroke average (74.03) to Antcliff and led the team in rounds of par or better (13). He enjoyed a strong spring campaign, improving to a 72.79 scoring average in six tournaments.

Antcliff, from Beaudesert, Australia, made a big splash in his first season as an active member of the program. In six events during the spring, Antcliff posted a team-low 73.0 stroke average and squad-best four top-20 finishes. He tied for 16th in his collegiate debut at the Puerto Rico Classic and shot a 3-under 69 in his first round as a Jaguar. In the final round of the Cleveland Golf/Palmetto Intercollegiate, he fired a 4-under 66 to spark the Jags to the team title.
